From Hobby Blogger to SEO Specialist

My writing career began in 2013 with a casual product review about car tires, and I was hooked. What started as a side gig while studying horticulture at Moi University soon became my passion. While my classmates focused on plant science and breeding, I explored tech. I compared cars and explained smart home gadgets—often until 2 a.m., fueled by cheap coffee and Google’s search algorithm updates.

The turning point came when I joined an online car magazine, where I spent eight years as a writer and editor. From test-driving European models to crafting detailed buyer’s guides, I thrived in the auto world. Eventually, I explored new areas like tech tutorials, lifestyle blogs, and home improvement guides. This helped me hone my voice and style for different audiences.

The deeper I got into writing, the more obsessed I became with SEO. I wasn’t just creating content; I wanted it to rank. I dove into keyword research, search intent, and on-page optimization, mastering the balance between content architecture and compelling storytelling.
